-Suggested answers for the exercise


    1. A: Do you mind if I ask you a personal question?
        B: No, not at all.
        A: Are you married?
        B:  No. I'm single.


    2. A: How much did you pay for that dress? If you don't mind my asking.
        B:  I don't remember exactly, but I got it in a sale. It was quite cheap.

    3. A: I hope you don't mind my asking, but how much salary are you making now?
        B: Erm... I'd rather not answer that question, if you don't mind.
