(Suggested answers to the exercise)
- Most snakes
aren't dangerous, as long as you
don't go too near them.
- You can borrow
any of these CDs, as long as you
look after them and let me have them back.
- You can cancel
the reservation, as long as you
give us 24 hours' notice.
- You can use
this room for the party, as long
as you clean it up afterwards.
- Some people
will do almost any kind of job, as
long as they get paid enough.
NOTES:
- Let me have them back: this
means something similar to "give them back to me", or "return them to
me".
- Give us 24 hours' notice: this
means something similar to "let me know 24 hours before."
